INDUSTAR lenses are just Soviet versions of famous Carl Zeiss Tessar 4-element lens. It were designed for different aims and frame size, from 8mm movie cameras up to large format woody cameras.
INDUSTAR lenses also were popular as enlarger lens, for medium format was available INDUSTAR-23U lens only, but in 1970th years had been introduced special updated INDUSTAR-55U lens for 9x12 cm frame size. It used at huge professional Belarus enlargers "Belarus-SB-1" and "Belarus-SB-2".

TECHNICAL FEATURES
* Focus: 140 mm
* Format of negative: up to 9x12 cm.
* Aperture: scale begins at 4.5, up to 22.
* Aperture adjustment 1 F stop (with clicks).
* 10 blades aperture construction.
* Special red filter allows to see shining aperture meanings when the enlarger is on.
* Resolution (in pairs of lines per 1 mm at full opened aperture): not less than 29 in the center and 14 on the edge of frame.
* Optical registration: 122.29 mm.
* Enlarger mount: it requires a special adapter lens board. No any screw mount at rear part was found.
* Made in USSR in 1990 at SI Vavilova plant (Minsk city), BelOMO.
* 4-element coated optics, Zeiss Tessar scheme.
* Dimensions: length 82mm (without lens caps), diameter 97mm.
* The lens can be used also for different DIY macro devices for 35mm SLR cameras, or for building home-made medium & large format cameras, long optical registration allows it easy.
